Who is this Josh guy anyway?
Josh Nufrio walked into Improv over Seven years ago and has yet to walk out. He got his start on the Quick Wits stage in Clearfield, Utah. Even as a beginning improviser he felt compelled to share his gathering knowledge of Improv. He, along with Adam Rossander, started teaching an open workshop on Saturday afternoons. That class produced some of the biggest names in Utah Improv today.
In 2003 Josh made the move to Off the Wall Comedy Improv. A family friendly short form show. He once again started a free class as well as a player’s workshop. The class is designed to be an introduction to Improv as well as a chance for fans to play short form games alongside the actors. The player’s workshop is very organic and allows the players to share ideas and workshop new games. Both classes are held at the Terrace Plaza Playhouse in Washington Terrace.
Josh is currently one of four managers at Off the Wall. Together with Caleb Perry, Derek Hendricks and Eb Madson, he has made Off the Wall the fastest growing Improv Troupe in Utah. Their crowd size averages over a Hundred people per show and shows no sign of slowing down.
During Josh's Improv career he has had a chance to study with the legends of Utah Improv. He is a loving fan of all things Improv but finds himself drawn to short form because of its high energy and quick pay off.
His classes are focused on attacking the stage and holding energy for the length of the show.
